Wordsters is an account-free daily word game. It does not ask for your name, email address, or other profile information.

Game data on your device

Wordsters stores your current puzzle, placed letters, result, and timing information in your browser’s local storage. This lets a game survive a refresh and prevents replaying a completed daily puzzle through the interface. You can remove this data by clearing site data for wordsters.today in your browser.

Analytics

Wordsters uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate usage and gameplay activity. This includes game starts, stars reached, completions, timeouts, successful share or copy actions, and puzzle-loading failures. These events may include the puzzle identifier, star count, elapsed time, sharing method, or a non-sensitive error code.

Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers and may process technical information about your browser, device, approximate location, and interactions with the site.

Wordsters does not send your available letters, entered words, played grid, individual cells, or keystrokes to Analytics.

Sharing

Sharing is initiated by you. Wordsters passes a spoiler-free result to your device’s share sheet or clipboard. The result contains the puzzle date, stars reached, completion status or time, and the Wordsters URL.

Your choices

Browser settings can clear local game data or restrict cookies. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on where it is supported.
